A grey afternoon at the Temple of Dendur.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art was the first place I worked what felt like a “real” job: the first place I worked out of grad school, my first job in New York City. It was magical then, as a graduate intern, having the galleries to myself after hours, and it’s still one of my favourite places to hunker down for a quiet afternoon out of the crazy Manhattan hullabaloo.
